What I've Learned
Code of Ethics
The personal code of ethics assignment I did helped put what I find important into perspective. Sometimes I feel as if we don't really understand the reason we feel about and believe in certain things.This helped show me where I feel passionate about certain topics and where I may not care as much.
Overview of Sports Broadcasting
This assignment was very useful for me because it outlines the field that I dream of going into. It made me feel more comfortable now that I have a better outline of what I'm getting into. I now feel even more excited and passionate about what I will be doing.
My Economic System
This assignment was very interesting because the entire document was up to us. We got to choose exactly what we wanted to focus on and what we wanted to do with our imaginary nation. It got me into what makes certain economies successful and I learned a lot about politics and economic structure.
What Inspired Me
This was one of my favorite assignments of the school year. I got to dive deep into what makes me truly passionate about sports broadcasting and why this is the field I chose. I learned a lot about my self and why I wants to do this in the first place once I put all my attention on it. This was very beneficial and only makes me want to work harder.
News Broadcast
This news broadcast was very beneficial because this is what I want to go into when I enter the workforce. This was difficult because I had never done something like this. I had not worked with video cutting and other aspects of a broadcast. I learned a lot in terms of the technology behind what I want to do.
Interview
This interview was very beneficial for me because I learned al lot about how to manage a budget and run a successful business and organization. I learned from a Town Manager about how to make a budget and be a good leader for those looking at you for guidance.
Creative Story
This was an interesting experience because it was unlike mostly everything I had done previously in all my PR/ Communication classes. I learned a lot about where my mind goes when I can allow it to go. I had to dig deep in my mind to come up with a creative and intriguing plot.
Formal Criticism
In this assignment I had to formally critique a song that I had not previously listened to before. This was also much different and I basically had to learn how to critique a song, which is something I had not previously done. I learned a lot about music and song and maybe what goes into making music.
